Influencer marketing is one of the best ways of making money online. How it works is that you advertise a product or service on your social media platform (usually Instagram), and you get paid by the advertiser. I’m guessing you have probably seen popular Instagrammers posting selfies with products nobody care about. They are not doing that for fun! They’re getting paid good money for it.

How Does Izea Work?

When you register as a free member you get five bids every month, you can upgrade to get unlimited bids. I recommend you to go for the basic one since you will be getting unlimited bids for only $1 per month 😀 Maybe you have heard the word ” bid ” and don’t know what it is? A bid is when you see an offer in the marketplace of Izea and click on it to request it As a free member, you have five free bids, when you find an opportunity you like in the marketplace you claim it and start negotiating with the advertiser about the price and other details. Every request will cost you one bid. After you bid an offer you like, you should wait for the advertiser to approve it, if they accept it, you will be notified via email. Izea is a good monetizing option for your blog, let’s have a look at the bad and the good of this company

How Do You Start?

Starting up like with many other online programs begins with you signing up on their official website. At this level you are starting with a free membership plan which entitles you to only 3 bids per month, cashout on reaching $100 threshold, and $3 early cashout fee.
Once your registration is completed and you login to your account, you get access to your dashboard where the bids are displayed for you to start bidding. For you to win or qualify for a bid, your bid must be accepted, and at times you could find out if your bid was accepted through an email by the client/advertiser, though this is not always the case.
As soon as your bid is accepted, you are expected to go ahead and write your article based on the format and story line given by the advertiser. Again, this is not an automatic ticket that your article will be accepted until it is evaluated and marked OK by the client, then you can go ahead and post it on your blog, but where it is not found satisfactory to the client it means you need to go back and do some extra work.
This, at times, could require review and request for modification on your part by such a client. As for the approved article, once it is published on your blog, a link to that post on your blog is expected to be entered on a particular box provided on your IZEA page for monitoring the post and you should never at anytime try to manipulate the post or the link. Once the post is published on your blog, all you need to do is to wait while you get rewarded with a credit to your IZEA account in a period of not more than four weeks. Thereafter, you can deposit it to your PayPal once your balance reaches the minimum threshold of $100.

How to Set Your Price?

Potential sponsors will set a minimum and a maximum price on their offers. It is up to you to price yourself to make your blog attractive to them. It is important to understand all that is going to be expected of you for each opportunity. Nearly all blog posts will expect social media tours with specific hashtags, and you need to make sure you are asking enough to cover your time. It is also important to recognize what the client is looking for and whether you can offer enough exposure for them.
If you think your blog or social profile is a good fit, feel free to bid. Don’t sell yourself short — if you feel you are worth a certain price, go for it! I will often bid their maximum price if I think I am a great fit for the campaign. This can mean $400 for one post or $75 for an Instagram photo. Because IZEA sees your social stats and site analytics, it is important you consider your reach when you are bidding. If you are just starting out or your reach isn’t that great, try bidding a lower amount to get your feet wet. Once clients begin to see your good work (especially if you go the extra mile to tout it), you will get approved for more opportunities.

Who is Izea For?

Izea is for everyone that wants to monetize their social profiles or get paid posts offers. Of course, you need a lot of traffic flowing in your social profiles or websites to make a living from this company.

My experience with IZEA

So why don’t I talk about my personal experience with IZEA. To date, I’ve gotten two big opportunities from them but I will mention that for each of them, I was contacted by the client directly through the platform for a specific opportunity. This is called a “Direct Offer”. What happened was I got an IZEA-templated-email from two big travel brands about a campaign they were running and were interested in paying me $X – accept or reject. Both offers I got from the above brands were above average and since I knew how I could craft a post around these opportunities, I accepted

The good

  • All the opportunities on the platform are legit and vetted.
  • E-mail notifications of new opportunities so you don’t have to constantly log in and check.
  • Writing guidelines are very clear.
  • Clients are very well informed and so far none have asked for do-follow. In fact they specifically ask for no-follow.
  • Payment via Paypal very easy.
  • You’re never handed a written piece to post. You are always in full control of the content that you end up posting.

The Bad

  • You can’t filter by category; you have all the offers in different categories on one page.

Verdict

I really enjoy this company and find it a great tool to use to fund more lucrative adventures. Like most freelancing work, you do need to put an effort into it and already have a website to use. Getting paid to do what you already do anyways just seems to be a no-brainer.
really hope this IZEA Review has helped you understand what this program is about and how you could benefit from it.
